Diana and I are heavily involved with the ministry at Valley View Christian Church in Edgewood, NM.  She teaches a class on Thursday's and helps with the Children's and Women's Ministry.  She also continues to help with the billing for the doctors in Houston, TX via the internet.

I am still involved with the Men's Ministry, Small Groups and Involvement.  I am also able to preach once a month.  VVCC is experiencing super growth as records continue to be set and we are now in a building campaign.  We give God all the praise and glory for what he is doing in our lives.

In April, I have been asked to preach at Homecoming for Community Christian Church, formerly First Church of Christ, Lake Charles, LA, my home church.  It has been years since I have been there and many more years since I have preached there.  I am really looking forward to the event.

I have taken on the responsibility of a radio ministry.  KKIM in ABQ is number 2 in that market and number 1 in the Sante Fe market.  If you are driving through its 1000 AM in ABQ or 94.7 FM in Sante Fe.  You can also access the station via the web at www.mykkim.com.  I am on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 5:05 PM, MT and on Wednesday and Thursday at 2:30 PM, MT.  Recently, I added Tuesday and Fridays, 9 AM to the schedule.  Plus, Sunday at 4:30 PM MT.

And of course on every opportunity we will be visiting our son, Brandon and his family, wife Lisa and the girls Madeline and Abbie, at Forest Grove Christian Church, Rockdale, Texas.  They are expecting our 7th grandchild, a boy.  Can't wait to spoil him.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT

Stress Busters from the Scriptures

1) Identify you stressor.  What's the cause?  What's the root problem?

2)  Search the scriptures!  When you realize what is truly bothering you and causing all that stress there are Bible verses that can help you overcome.

3)  Identify what God is saying to you to comfort you.  With the passages you listed in step 2, which verses give general principles to give you comfort and help you overcome the stress.

4)  What is God's correction?  Hey, don't forget for every "don't" GOD provides a "do" to get us going.  Even label your notebook with one section for "God's Comfort".

5)  NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, tackle the situation by yourself.  GO TO GOD.  To apply Biblical truths, first confess the sin that has caused the stress.  Then plead with God to help you deal with the situation.

6)  APPLY THE TRUTH.  After seeking God's comfort, recognize His correction and as He provides the answers, APPLY THE TRUTHS.
